SheTrades MENA Organisation in Dubai

SheTrades MENA is a regional initiative by Dubai Exports in collaboration with the International Trade Center (ITC), an agency of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations Committee on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The aim of the initiative is to assist women owned businesses to start and grow their business through trade. The ultimate aim of SheTrades is to connect 3 million women to global markets by the end of 2021. SheTrades MENA is seeking to contribute a significant share of this number and seeks to rally support from policy makers, the business community, and women`s organizations to leverage international trade for the economic empowerment of women. To date, SheTrades MENA has conducted a number of training sessions, seminars, coaching sessions, and workshops aimed to empower and educate women. As a result of these activities, many women that have participated have expanded their business into global markets. Furthermore, the ability to connect women owned businesses across the region with buyers and investors, has significantly contributed towards sustainable development, resilience, and inclusive growth.
