The X MEDA Women Entrepreneurs Forum will be held on 2nd and 3rd October in Amman, Jordan. AFAEMME is working with the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), Jordan Forum for Business & Professional Women (JFBPW), the Amman Chamber of Commerce ,and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce to organize the event. This year’s MEDA Week focuses on the role of women in technology and their part in the regional and technological changes currently transforming the Mediterranean.

The ninth “Mediterranean Women Enterpreneurs Forum” co-organized by AFAEMME (Association of Organisation of Mediterranean Businesswomen) with Barcelona Chambres of Commerce and ASCAME (Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry) in Medaweek Barcelona's frame, the Week of the Economic Leaders of the Mediterranean was passed last 24th November.

In the framework of the IX MEDA Women Entrepreneurs Forum which took place last November 24th in Barcelona, AFAEMME also celebrated its Annual Meeting. The participating members reviewed the Association's 2016 activity report and debated about upcoming initiatives and possible collaborations. This recently Annual Meeting, Afaemme's member approved nine new membership from Italy, France, Lebanon, Croatia, Tusinia, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt and Palestine.

Last 27th June, Afaemme's representatives attend in Tunisia the presentation of EBSOMED Project. EBSO Med is a 4-year project, co-financed by the European Commission that aims at boosting the Mediterranean business ecosystem promoting inclusive economic growth and job creation, by enhancing the private sector environment and namely the Business Support Organisations in the Southern Neighbourhood countries. Countries covered: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia.
