AFAEMME participates in the European Parliament’s Citizen’s AGORA on Climate Change

AFAEMME was invited; once again, to the European Parliament’s Citizen’s AGORA held in Brussels on June 12th and 13th. This year’s Agora was centred on climate change, one of the major challenges facing our societies.

The event gathered 500 representatives from the European civil society who discussed, in 5 separate workshops, different facets of this challenge, including the resources needed and the possible techniques that should be used to cope with this issue, as well as the economic impact of climate change. After the two work days, five papers were generated, one for each workshop, which summarized the debates and presented the range of options that emerged from the discussions. The papers were presented during the plenary and the last press conference of this year’s Agora.

AFAEMME was represented in the event by Paola Horvath, AFAEMME’s Project Coordinator, and was also attended by Mrs. Flutura Xhabija, AFAEMME’s Treasurer.
