AFAEMME’s General Assembly and Elections and the 1st MEDA Women Entrepreneurs Forum will be held in Barcelona in November

The Association of Mediterranean Businesswomen is co-organizing with the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona and with ASCAME, the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Mediterranean, the first Meda Women Entrepreneurs Forum that will be held in the Casa Llotja de Mar in Barcelona on November 5th and 6th, 2009.
The main objective of the forum will be to provide a platform for dialogue, exchange of experiences and the establishment of a network that will bring new business opportunities to women entrepreneurs and provide Mediterranean women entrepreneurs an opportunity to make contacts in the key sectors for economic development in the region.

For this event, that also forms part of the Third Edition of the Mediterranean Economic Leaders Week, it is expected the participation of some 300 women entrepreneurs from different sectors belonging to the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Palestinian Territories, Tunisia, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Greece, France, Croatia, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, Malta, Cyprus etc. Delegations of all countries have confirmed the participation of business and institutional representatives.

Coinciding with the celebration of the 1st Mediterranean Forum of Entrepreneurs, AFAEMME will carry out, in the afternoon of November 5th 2009, the General Assembly of the Association, after which the Association Elections will be held.
