The President of AFAMME, Mª Helena de Felipe, was elected Spokesperson of the Group of SMEs, Crafts and Family Businesses, of the European Economic and Social Committee (CESE ). With this appointment the representativeness of Spanish SMEs in Europe is reinforced to participation in European decision-making bodies, to defend the interests and needs of SMEs.

SheTrades MENA is a regional initiative by Dubai Exports in collaboration with the International Trade Center (ITC), an agency of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations Committee on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The aim of the initiative is to assist women owned businesses to start and grow their business through trade. The ultimate aim of SheTrades is to connect 3 million women to global markets by the end of 2021.
