SheTrades MENA Organisation in Dubai

SheTrades MENA is a regional initiative by Dubai Exports in collaboration with the International Trade Center (ITC), an agency of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations Committee on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The aim of the initiative is to assist women owned businesses to start and grow their business through trade. The ultimate aim of SheTrades is to connect 3 million women to global markets by the end of 2021.

The XII Mediterranean Women Entrepreneurs Forum, was held friday November 20th. This year because of the Pandemic, was a virtual meeting broadcasted from Casa Llotja de Mar. Organized by Afaemme, Ascame, Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Iemed, Union for the Mediterranean and Consorci from Barcelona. In this edition Women have been in the front line during COVID-19 in different positions, affected and greatly burdened by the lack of decision-making structures.

New Report from World Bank Group "Women, Business and the Law 2020"

"Women, Business and the Law 2020" is the sixth in a series of studies that analyze laws and regulations affect-ing women’s economic opportunity in 190 economies. Eight indicators structured around women’s interactions with the law as they begin, progress through, and end their careers align with the economic decisions women make at various stages of their lives. The indicators are Mobility, Workplace, Pay, Marriage, Parenthood, Entrepreneurship, Assets, and Pension. Data in "Women, Business and the Law 2020" are current as of September 1, 2019.
