II International Forum on Women Entrepreneurs

Sofia (Bulgaria), 19-20 November 2010

The second edition of this Forum has the purpose to develop and strengthen the economic cooperation between Bulgarian women entrepreneurs and their colleagues from other European and non European countries and in particular to:

  • Offer Bulgarian women entrepreneurs and those from other countries of the Balkan region a unique opportunity to meet and interact;
  • Stimulate local, national and international forms of networking with the ultimate goal of increasing women’s participation in business;
  • Develop and consolidate strategic operational partnership between women;
  • Establish relationships between women involved on politics and those involved in business and promote the socioeconomic prosperity and development of each country;
  • Raise awareness of stakeholders to strengthen the entrepreneurial culture among women and to activate local, national and European networks and develop enterprise competitiveness;
  • Propose measures and instruments to local authorities in favor of women entrepreneurs.

Global Entrepreneurs Week 2010

92 countries worldwide, 15-21 November 2010

From November 15th to 21st 92 countries will be celebrating the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), an initiative which wants to promote the creation of new businesses and enterprises.

The Entrepreneurs Week -which is supported among others by Mr. Barack Obama, President of the U.S., and Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President- aims to:

  • Promote the values of entrepreneurial culture, initiative, creativity, innovation and commitment
  • Create a dialogue between different business creation agents
  • Inspire by offering the example of successful entrepreneurs
  • Support education and training by creating and spreading knowledge

In Spain, the GEW activities will be coordinated by the IESE Centre for Family Companies and Entrepreneurial Initiative.
