XXI CIME – Iberoamerican Congress of Businesswomen

Next October 11th to 13th 2010 Lisbon (Portugal) will host the XXI Iberoamerican Congress of Busineswomen (CIME) which is organized by the Iberoamerican Federation of Businesswomen (FIDE) under the title “Entrepreneurship and Sustainability”.

The event aims to demonstrate that times of economic crisis can be useful to think about new ways of business undertaking and to experience alternative ways of business organization and development that may provide a bigger sustainability to businesses, companies, businesswomen and its collaborators. Furthermore, this XXI edition of CIME wants to inform about the economic, political and social reality of involved countries as well as about investment possibilities there.

Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership Program (WEL)

The American University in Cairo and the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania will offer just after Ramadan the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership Program (WEL), a five week-long business and management certificated program specifically for women in the region.

Instruction will be in Arabic and participants who do not live in Cairo will be provided housing at in the dormitories of the campus of the American University in Cairo.

The deadline for women to apply will be end of May.
