Women in Turkey

Women, victims of war

Another post about women in Turkey, written by AFAEMME's trainee:

There are violent clashes between police and terrorist groups in the eastern side of Turkey recently. As a consequence of this conflict, many civil people living in the area are also injured or killed… To protest these clashes and receive attention to the death of women during these attacks, Eastern women came together to rally against it. They walked with pots and pans in their hands while whistling. They emphasized that the government is responsible for the death of these women and all the women in the country should be aware of it. The message tried to be given in the protest was clear: Let’s unite against the government to prevent the death of women by ignoring whichever ethnic background we have.
