On 11st and 12nd has taken place Closing Conference of European Year of Workers´ Mobility.  In the act, celebrated in Lille (France), page www.womenmobility.org that AFAEMME has developed inside the framework of the project" Mobility and Equality in the European Labour Market" has been one of the most applauded initiatives. 

Closing Conference have consisted on the one hand in an Exposition for 13 stands where some of the 31 Associations and European Organizations, among that is  AFAEMME and the Coalition for Gender Equality  of Latvia, could present the projects developed during that year 2006. 

On the other hand, nine workshop have taken place in parallel on: the cross-border dimension of mobility, how the family situation and the employment of the spouse influences in a mobility decision, the return issue and the importance of reintegration after a mobility experience, the instruments of the mobility: developing new information for mobile workers, the regional dimension of the mobility, the role of networking and how is promoted the mobility culture by SMEs.

Mrs. Mª Helena de Felipe Lehtonen, President of AFAEMME, has participated in this last workshop. Basing on her experience in AFAEMME, Mrs. De Felipe has said that the woman has a great role in the context of the mobility because "they use to make better mobile workers because they have better language skills, and are more adaptable and flexible”.  In addition, it stands out the role of the woman as "good communicator" which is very important, given that "the communication is an essential ingredient when has foreign staff". 

In addition, she has spoke about the importance to develop the network of international work to promote the mobility no longer only of workers but also of information and ideas that enlarge the business possibilities to the median and small business.  Mrs. de Felipe has aimed that "networking are an organisational form that enable women to pursue both personal and
